July 18 - Sarah and Jeff McVey providing a party and fun time for Summer Reading participants.June 13 - Joyce Carroll, ventriloquist.Activities and guest speakers will meet at the library on Thursday throughout June and part of July. This program will be available for children old enough to listen to books being read to readers 11 years of age. The orginial book about this therapy dog and devoted family pet is titled, “Chester the Chesapeake.” Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and greet the real Chester. Barbara Ebel will read books she has written about her dog, Chester. Registration and a special storytime for its juvenile Summer Reading Program titled “Dig into Reading” is May 23.
Magness Library is getting ready for its Summer Reading program targeting youngsters as well as a new program focusing on adult readers.
